Valentine Bouquet

To make your Valentine Bouquet, make a heart shape by folding a piece of paper in half. Draw a half heart shape (see below for how to create it). Use any of the following papers:

• Construction paper


• Cardstock


• Scrap Paper

If paper is white, you might want to decorate it with crayons or markers.

If you can't draw the half heart shape free hand, make a pattern from a half a circle plus a line which goes to the fold. Use a glass, cup, or small plate or anything round to get the half circle. Use a ruler for the straight line.

Cut out the heart with decorative scissors if you want a fancy edge.

Write your message or compliment on the heart.

Staple the heart to a stem which can be any of the following:

• straw


• pipe cleaner


• chenille stem


• rolled up magazine page (roll diagonally from corner to corner and glue the ends)

Remember to use what you have.

Make as many heart "flowers" as you want.

Put into vase or glass.

Give to a person you love on Valentine's Day.
