Seasonal Play Ideas

Seasonal play is play that occurs for those special holidays and seasons throughout the year. It is a way to create special times with friends and family.

Each family develops certain ways that they celebrate each holiday. They develop their own traditions.

What are traditions? Traditions are things that are done over and over when certain situations arise.

Sometimes family traditions just sort of happen. We discovered that we had family traditions we didn't even know we had when we didn't do the special thing once. We usually went out to a special restaurant for ice cream after a certain activity. When we failed to do it one time, our kids let us know that we "always" did that. We had a family tradition. We just didn't know it.
