Inexpensive Simple Activities
To Do With Your PreTeen
PreTeen Play activities include:
- Stamp Collecting
Collect stamps from mail. Use your
mail and junk mail as a resource. There are many unique stamps that
arrive in the regular mail. Use the stamps as a starting place to
research about the topic of the stamp. A trading card insert for a
three ring notebook would be one way to store them.
- Treasure Hunt
Hold a treasure hunt with clues. Leave
notes around the house or yard that give the next clue. Do this about
ten times until the last clue takes them to the prize.
- The Budgeting Money Game
Making a game out of budgeting money. Find out ways to work with your child to develop money skills.
- Nature Walk
Take a walk with your child at a park or
in nature. Listen to them as they talk. Time away from all of the
technology is becoming increasingly important. Be sure to turn off the
cell phone during this time.
- Car Activities
Find out car activities you can play with your children to keep them thinking while you are traveling.
